You know that awkward moment where you fall just out of the blue? Well, I had a very similar moment like that one time in a youth sports group. Back in elementary school, my friends and I would go out to the church by our school every Wednesday to play sports with other kids our age. We would play a different sport every week that the group voted on. This day, was much like the other weeks at sports night. I was especially excited because the group decided on playing dodge ball. Dodge ball was my favourite game to play out of all the options but we didn’t get to play it that often. Before we got to play thought, we had to warm up. As a group we all ran a few laps of the gym then started stretching. This seamed to last forever because I was so anxious to play. We finally finished the stretching and started to divide into two teams. One of my friends was one of the team captains while the other captain I didn’t know. I was picked quite early by my friend so our group could all be on one team. Our plans worked out and I happened to know everyone who was on my team. Once the balls were lined up in the middle the game started. A sudden rush of adrenaline hit me as I sprinted for the line. I beat the opposing player as he ran to the same ball I was running for. The rest of the game when very normal, half of my team was out and half of their team was out as well. I, although was still in the game. The opposing team had most of the balls on their side and my side only had a few. They were forcing us to grab the balls from the middle line of the court so they could get a better shot at us. So my team devised up a plan to get the balls without being hit. We would create a diversion on one side of the court and have everyone slowly walk up one side towards a ball while I, alone on my side would sneak up and grab the balls while the other team wasn’t looking. The team agreed on the brilliant plan and started to put it in action. They were walking at a crawling pace while I sat in the corner trying to get the other teams attention off me. When the other team did this, it was my chance. I ran as fast as I could at the balls to try and get them. One of their team mates saw what I was doing and yelled at his team mates to get me. One of them threw a ball at me but miraculously I dodged it. I jumped in the air while the ball flew under me. On my way down I landed on the ball I was trying to get and slipped. I came crashing down to the gym floor head first. As I hit, there was a loud noise and the whole gym went silent. As I staggered up from where I fell, I felt sharp pain in my mouth. I ran right into the bathroom to see what had happened. When I got into the bathroom I examined myself to see if I was alright. I didn’t have a bloody nose or any bumps on my head. I thought I was completely unharmed and I smiled to myself. That’s when I saw it. One of my front teeth was chipped right in half and was bleeding profusely. I was so embarrassed of how funny it looked I ran home. I didn’t go to school the next day because I refused to until the tooth was fixed.

Memoir 1
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to get hit in the head with a skateboard? I didn't either until one sunny fall morning before school. It was about the time when the leaves just start to change colour and the bees start to get mean. It all happened om grade 6, skateboarding with my brother on my driveway. My brother and I were just practicing our tricks on our skateboards , alot like other kids our age. Right as I was practicing a "kick-flip" is when I heard it. A buzz of a bee flying right past my face. I should add that I was dealthly terrified of bees. I turned around to see three bees hovering right behind me. I started to freak out, swatting at the insects. This didn't help what so ever in attemping to get them to flee, this, this made them angry. So there I was freaking out and screaming, it got my brothers attention quite quickly. He, being the hero he is, grabbed his board and started to swing is violently at the bees. I was standing idlely by watching is awe as he was attacking the bees. When one of the bees came back towards me, my brother swong his board towards me. Him not knowing where I was, struck me in the head with his board. The pain was so intense and so surprising that it knocked me right off my feet. My brother rushed me into my house, luckily my dad was there. After telling him what happened, he came to the conclusion that i was fine, how wrong he was. After our breif chat with our dad he shipped us out for school. Before school everyday, me and my class mates would play soccer. The running did not help the aching pain in my head. The pain from soccer was not comparible to the sound of the bell ringing. Once the bell rang everyone ran inside to get to class. I had to make a stop in the bathroom before. One of my friends Tim Baker came in after to find me throwing up in one of the stalls. He quickly told the teacher what had happened and my mother came to the school shortly after. I was sent to the doctors to get x- rays. Turns out I fractured my skull.
